chris731 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Don't remember which kit, built a little while ago. It's based on a car that ran shine in Georgia. I work with a guy from Macon that is full of stories of days when he was young. One day he was telling me about his 49 Ford he had many years ago. So I built this based on how his car was setup. I lowered the back by re-arching the kit springs. Added some of the things his 49 had, the Pure Oil sticker he got a kick out of, he used to work there pumping gas as a young man. I didn't gloss it up because his 49 had more of a satin finish for running shine at night. I took liberty by adding blue metalflake to the black, doesn't show up well in the pics, but looks great when the light hits it just right. Well thanks for looking.
FordRodnKustom Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Nice lil tanker. That Caddy mill sure would keep the Revnuwers in the rear view!
chris731 Posted May 30, 2008 Author Posted May 30, 2008 Thahks for the comments, he should write a book about his life. He has a million stories to tell and isn't shy about telling them.
bobss396 Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Nice build, really captures the look. I always did line 'shine cars and HAVE to see Thunder Road soon. That should be great reference material, not as good as what you have access to. Bob
