  1. Thanks! The fit is actually good, the finish is something else. Their funny car kits are much better than the stock car. But there isn't many old school style stock car kits out there. I wish AMT or Revell would dust off the molds and bring them back out for a bit. Decals I hit with Testors decal bonder to keep them from breaking apart which all PL's kits with SLIXX were noted for.
  2. Finished it up tonight, one more off the shelf and onto a different shelf.
  3. Thanks Futura, it's getting there. Got the body on last night. Next are the bumpers, detail the body, then decals. Had to spread the sides of the body out a fair amount, but once the chassis was in, it fell into place.
  4. Almost have the chasis finished on PL's Buddy Baker Charger. Just a quick shot of it. Just have the dash left to do then I can start on the body.
  5. I've built worse kits than this, but I know where you're coming from. Did a little more on it last night. Drilled out the exhaust pipes so they look hollow instead of solid..
  6. Thanks, once it sits for a couple days I can continue on.
  7. Decided to start this kit, painted it today. I'm doing the red/grey scheme. Thanks for looking.
  8. Thanks, I was going to but the Silver Chrome I had didn't look good. Next one I do, I think I'll black wash which should knock down the shine.
  9. Thanks, I've seen the 1/16 kit which looks pretty nice.
  10. Thanks, no major issues that I can recall. Went together well.
  11. Straight from the box in British Green, thanks for looking.
  12. Thanks! You didn't see to many like his back then, with the side scoops, power hood, and color combo. I thought his Bee had matched rims till he told me otherwise. So it took me a while to dig up some slots for the front that fit. The red stripe I made by scanning the kits decal sheet and using Paintshop to change the black stripe to red, then print it on Testors decal paper.
  13. Built this after my brothers Bee he owned a long time ago. Based off a pic he still had of it and his memory. He used to bracket race it on weekends, drive it to work during the week. Thanks for looking.
  14. Thanks, somethin' different. There's some interesting subject matter you can't find in plastic that paper offers.
  15. I do paper every now and then for a change of pace. This 5th Element Taxi and dio is all paper.
  16. I painted this one Model Master Platimum and the interior is Dupli-Color Milano Red. I went with the 5 spoke street wheels for a bit of a twist. Thanks for looking.
  17. Thanks for the comments, the taxi is made by Kool Wheelz, he has some kewl paper models. For the backdrop, I took a pic of a alley way that looked apocolyptic, cut it along the perspective lines, folded it up to give it a 3-d look. I poked 2 toothpicks throught the back drop to hold the taxi up. It's all made from paper. It's about 1/35th 1/38th scale, give or take.
  18. Decided to do a paper model while waiting on parts for another project. Could have been better if I would have found my card stock, but used paper instead. Thanks for looking.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/user/classicplastic101?feature=mhee Thanks, there's like 3-4 parts on the car.
  20. Thanks for the comments, it's a nice kit.
  21. Pretty much out of the box with some minor details added. It's done in Testors Revving Red. Thanks!
