  1. I have one of these on my shelf, and it's a blast to build. You did a great job.
  2. Nice job, the top looks great and really sets the car off with the body color. Looks great.
  3. Boy does this car bring back some memories. I used to love to watch Mannix. Great job on his car, and the details are perfect.
  4. This is a great looking car. The details are excellent. I'm a slow builder myself, but that slowness always pays off in the end. Again, nice job.
  5. Thanks guys, appreciate the comments.
  6. Thanks for the comments.
  7. This is the Gene Snow kit using Slixx decals. Thanks for looking.
  8. Thanks for the comments.
  9. Black with Shark Grey interior. I was inspired by the Charger in Blade. Thanks for looking.
  10. Hi everyone, I started a new site, a site that'll have tips and news about scale modeling. Sharing some of my knowledge I've learned over the past *ahem* 40 some years, and still learning (man it's sucks hitting 50 this month, lol). It's not completely finished yet but finished enough to let others know it's around. It's not going to be just car's. But anything scale plastic. I have many past build to add to my gallery yet and I'll be updating daily till it's finished. Not that it'll ever be finished, it'll always be a work in progress. But stop by, say Hi, and bookmark for future net surfing. Thanks! http://www.scaleplastic.webs.com/
  11. Thanks! Here is a shot of the body up. I didnt do much detailing other than wires.
  12. Box build, painted MM Bright Yellow. Working on the Mongoose next. The only thing I added was the Coke decal in the back as it's omitted from the decal sheet. It's not the same style as the real 1:1 but it's the only one I had available to use. The Snake Cuda has always been my fav flip top, and I still have my original Hot Wheel along with the metal button. Thanks for looking.
  13. Thanks all for the comments.
  14. Thanks everyone, the re-issue didn't come wih any decals sort of speak, and the sheet out of the Firebird kit fit the build perfect. The stripes across the hood are out of the MPC Charger 500 kit.
  15. Thanks, I hope he's happy with it when he sees it.
  16. I built this for my brother, he wanted it the drag version. It's box stock except decals. Starting to build again after taking the summer off.
  17. Who hasn't built one of these? With this one I tried to create the look of the real 1:1, I wanted mine to look like wood. So I layered many shades of brown with just a touch of cinnamon and tried to create woodgrain by always brushing the same direction. There was a lot of dry brushing with this one. I did change the slicks, I didn't like what came with the kit. That's really about it. Thanks for looking.
  18. Wow, that's a awesome build. Beautiful job!
  19. Thanks everyone, had to have a Big Dog decal on this one...
  20. I thought I would go military on this build for something a little different. Pretty much a box build just added my own decals. Thanks for looking and Happy Fourth everyone!
  21. Thanks for the comments. I had fun witht his one. Watched a few episodes of the Hornet on DVD while building it. What a great show. The good ole days of being a kid and little responsibility...
  22. I had a couple Fireball kits in my stash, one to use when I was making my Batmobile. After finishing the Batmobile, I was looking at the Fireball kit. I wasn't a big fan of this Barris car, but I was a big fan of the Green Hornet growing up. Still. With crime fighters on my mind, the Hornet popped in my head. While I always thought the Black Beauty was a cool car, I thought the Green Hornet might want to tool around in something a little lighter on its feet, a little sportier, so he could save a little gas. So this is what I ended up with out of the Fireball. The hardest part was reshaping the front to the original Black Beauty. It's all from scratch. Took me a while till I was happy with the front. The grill is off a 67 Charger. The Hornet Stun Ray is just some scrap sprue reshaped out of the kit. The front rocket tubes are coffee stir sticks. The hood scoop is off a GTO. The rear spoiler is off an Acura. The door emblems are card stock. The rear rockets are the front rockets of the PL Black Beauty kit (dog got a hold of, but I did salvage the rockets). Added some gadgets in the interior and the BB2 was created. It's not perfect, but it puts a smile on my face and my brother gets a kick out of it when he looks at it. Well, thanks for looking.
