MOPARmaniac Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Hey guys, I got this car for my birthday. I'm not a big fan of newer sports cars, but I got the car for free, so I can't complain. It is skill level 5 and has 120+ pieces so it will be difficult and fun for me. This is my first model car of skill level 5.
cmfowler Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Have two of these in my stash. Will be following.
MOPARmaniac Posted April 22, 2017 Author Posted April 22, 2017 Got most of the block together... Must warn you guys that this kit is fun and detailed, but none of the parts really want to fit together. I have to tinker with every single part on this kit to get it together.
BVC500 Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Yeah, I just assembled my engine and the part fit was fiddly. Â Good luck on the rest!
FabbricaP Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Have this one on my list as well. Looking forward to seeing your progress!
MOPARmaniac Posted April 22, 2017 Author Posted April 22, 2017 This is the look im going for when i get around to painting the body.
MOPARmaniac Posted April 22, 2017 Author Posted April 22, 2017 Engine is almost done, just needs the exhaust and intake setup put on top of it and I can drop it in the car.
MOPARmaniac Posted April 22, 2017 Author Posted April 22, 2017 Started working on some rear suspension parts, didn't have the color steel so i mixed my own color of steel by mixing testors gloss grey and testors metallica silver together. It came out perfect.
MOPARmaniac Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 I also painted the chassis body color. It turned out pretty nice looking.
MOPARmaniac Posted May 2, 2017 Author Posted May 2, 2017 I also painted the rear lower suspensions arms.
MOPARmaniac Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Macro please. Sorry my phone doesn't have that setting on the camera. it really sucks. anyway I got the engine finished and the fram the surrounds it painted as well.
MOPARmaniac Posted May 3, 2017 Author Posted May 3, 2017 Sorry i meant to say "the frame that surrounds it"
Xingu Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 You may be too close when you are taking the photos, they are all a bit out of focus. Step back a bit to get a good focused shot. You can use a photo editing program to crop/resize the photo to get the zoomed in effect.Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

I will try your advice though to see if it works.
