I don't know about you guys but I have only ever posted new builds up here and that leaves an awful lot of built models that I have not, and probably won't, post.  The main reason is I am building somewhat better than 30+ years ago and would rather keep some of my failures to myself!!!  While having a break from building I decided to restore one of my favourite Cobra's (and I have a lot!!).

This 1/16 MPC Cobra was built around 40 years ago and was languishing in the back cupboard with a broken bonnet.  As I could not match the blue I decided to paint the bonnet anti glare black.  When originally built I did a number of changes from standard:

front & rear wheels are original Halibrand centres with rims and slick from 1/12 Tamiya F1 cars;

additional reversed scoops in the bonnet (1/25 AMT Cobra scoops);

vents in the rear guards;

scratchbuilt quick fill fuel cap;

header tank in right guard with access through cap in guard;

sports windscreen;

right hand drive conversion and associated leather covered seats, as you did back then!!, seat belts, etc.

After a gently cut & polish I finally decided to post one of my old hackers.
