Help - Looking for a present for my brother

Hello there.

I need to start with how happy I am to be a part of this forum and that I am looking forward to speaking with you all and hopefully finding answers to my problems.

First off, this is not about me. It is about my brother. He is very passionate about models – truck models in particular. His birthday is soon coming up and I thought about buying him a new one. But honestly I don't know much about it, so please bear that in mind. I was thinking, maybe I can get some help here.

This week I did a lot of research online and checked out some websites classified adds and trusted shopping sites like http://www.for-sale.co.uk/model-trucks. But there are so many different types an models available. I simply don't know which one to pick.

I know my brother collects a specific type: SCANIA. I also know the sale. It is 1:50. So can anybody here give me some advice? Are there any recommendations for specific model brands? And where to buy them online?

I also was thinking about a voucher. But I don't really like it. In my opinion it's always kind of impersonal. I think you know what I mean.

I'm sorry for all these questions, but as I said before, I don't know much about it. So therefore any feedback is highly appreciated.

Warren...  AMT makes some really nice semi truck kits they build nicely too.  Very nice idea you have to get him one.

There is another company calles WSI that also do trucks in 1:50th scale http://www.wsi-models.com/
