ok, I have the Far West rig and have had for quite awhile now, like quite a few years.. I'm working on finishing it this time around but have a question on the decals. I don't want to get them wet and go to pull them onto the trailer and have them disintegrate on me. I know people have clear coated them but I have never done that...by clearing them how much clear should a person cover them?? I don't want to put to much on. also with clear on the will the setting solvents interfere with the decal themselves?? The decals sheet looks to be in good shape but I don't want to mess them up as that is the main focal point of this rig!!!

Thanks in advance for any and all help you all can give!!!!!!!!

Kerry,  This is something that my son and I have had some success at. If you have access to a laser printer you copy the old decals on to a fresh piece of decal paper. Than just use like a regular decal, there's no putting clear on them or anything like that. It works because it's not the decal that goes bad, it's the paper and adhesive, so once you get them on fresh paper there good to go. It has to be done with a laser printer, that way there already set on the paper when they come out of the machine.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Hope this helps
