chryslerjunkandstuff Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 From the long list of build plans I have, this '69 AstroVette. They were designed exclusively for each of the Apollo 12 crew, and the pics are of Alan Bean's car. Pretty cool I thought. Still hunting some details about the real cars, and hunting down a source for those hubcaps in 1/25 scale.
Mike Chernecki Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 A seller on eBay regularly has those hubcaps.http://www.ebay.com/itm/311552553842
Custom Mike Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 What does the LMP stand for? Lunar Module Project?
Mr. Muppet Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 (edited) Lunar Module Pilot I believe those wheels can also be found in the AMT 1969 Riviera that's seen a couple of recent reissues. Edited May 28, 2017 by Mr. Muppet
chryslerjunkandstuff Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 Yeah, Lunar Module Pilot, this was Alan Bean's job on the Apollo 12 mission.. Thanks yall for the hubcap info, I went ahead and ordered a set from that eBay seller.. Also, thanks to some info posted on the "Rapid Transit System Paint Code 'Cuda" thread, I was able to source a set of HO scale white pinstripes from Microscale.. Now, to actually build the thing!
Custom Mike Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Lunar Module PilotThanks Sam, I was in the ballpark at least!
