Nitro crew chief Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I'm a 60 year old man, I've been building models all my life, but that has dropped off the last 25 - 30 years as I raised my family. I'm getting ready for a complete knee replacement August 31, and while I'm down I plan on building something to keep me from going nuts. I look forward to reading your posts and learning some building secrets. I was a crew chief on a nostalgia funny car for 10 years before the cost of running a car went through the roof, and grand kids came along. Thanks for having me along in the forums.
disabled modeler Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Welcome Kenny...! I have been building all my life great way to pass the time too. The best advise anyone ever gave me is to treat every part as if it were a model itself. Plus...building is no race build at your own pace and they will look awesome. Good luck on your knee replacement hope the recovery is a good short easy one.
retired & glad Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 Welcome and you will have plenty of building help from here if you need it. I am already nuts so you will fit in if this happens to you. I am 72 and it makes my days very enjoyable. Hope the knee replacement goes well. I guess you will be building the drag cars. In my younger days I did some drag racing but the tracks started closing due to noise and the building boom. Just hollar here and someone will help you.Richard
