I know you guys are getting sick of this question BUT I promise I'll get right this time ok here's the question When I post a pic I was told to put [img Copy url address here /img] I did that and the url worked but you have to click on it to see the pic what do I need to do to see the pic or pics in the post?

Thanks for your Patience

Dave

Looks like it was posted or pasted incorrectly and is missing some brackets.

Yeah I use photobucket too, and you just click on IMG CODE and past it in the post.

I suspect that Fotki has a similar thing but used the he used the HTML editor to insert photo.

I looked at the code and has some experience with HTML, and his "code" is all jacked up because there is a URL tag inside a IMG tag and is missing the front close bracket and rear open bracket.

It does work Dave, I think, just out smarted himself.

If you hit the "reply" button in the bottom right corner of this post, you'll see what the correct code looks like:

You need to "enclose both ends" of img and /img .

Dave, here are a couple past posts that cover how to put pics on the board here................

Here's Jairus's post about Fotki and Photobucket from late last year.

Here's Clay's post dealing with Photobucket specifically with some very good screenshots.

Hope this all helps!

This is a how to i wrote for my forum. It is very similar to this forum.

here is the new way that seems to work best on fotki sites. the previous way only hosts your photos for a few hours and then all you see is the red x.

WITH THIS OPTION, YOU DO NOT NEED TO INSERT [img TAGS.

FIRST

0copy-vi.jpg

Hosted on Fotki

SECOND

1copy-vi.jpg

Hosted on Fotki

THIRD

2copy-vi.jpg

Hosted on Fotki

LAST

3copy-vi.jpg

Hosted on Fotki

THIS IS REALLY MUCH EASIER THAN IT SEEMS.

one thing you can do is edit the code to your own wording. for example , instead of this [url=http://www.fotki.com]Hosted on Fotki[/ur

you can make it say [url=http://www.fotki.com]Zed's '40 Ford[/ur

(hope this is more of an answer to expect from the other board)

You are welcome Dave! You must be speaking of SA.....i have not stepped foot in there since my posts got deleted for the millionth time. (about a year ago) I didn't do anything wrong, just talking about things "he" didn't want to read about i guess.....and yes it was all model related. Yes, this forum is always better and the magazine too!
