Len -- Ur Vette looks great , I just saw this. I assume that you are using one of Jay S bodies that he cast. I'm currently just starting a similar subject -- I'm building the 4 car as raced at Lime Rock in 2012, and will also build the 2013 car (60th Anniversary), got the decals from Patto. I've cut out the  exhaust ports to b more rectangular, and plan to use oval Al tubing for the exhaust , planing to use Model Master Jet exhaust for the 'as raced look'. Also am using the rear view mirrors from the  C7R kit.

Are you planning to post ur build in the Workbench section -- I have some questions on the build that I'm working out , stance etc. would appreciate any advice, Mayb I can pm you.

thx

Thanks Albert. I didn't take any pictures since this was done just to get away from the detailed build I usually do. I wanted to do the GT2 car for a long time but missed out on the bodies when they were 1st available. Got this one from a friend when I was at the Houston show in August and started from there.

I will be glad to help you with any questions on how I did mine. But you will need the regular (non race) Corvette kit for some of the parts like the windows and tailights.

Here are a couple of more pictures of the finished car.

Len -- ur build looks great. I'll pm you with some questions on the build. I am aware that I need the ZR1 kit for the front and rear glass . I really like the look of the C6R GT 2 cars, you did a great job.

thx

Take a look at Tamiya's weathering sets, set B has soot. They are acrylic based and can be removed with ammonia if you want to redo it.
