studioman3 Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 (edited) I have been building a Kenworth K100 Aero with a streched frame and 3rd axle, (thanks Tim for the help with rims and rubber), I had just finished with all of the build except for some detailing, rear fenders, and decals, and thought, hey, let's try out my new camera, and take a couple quick pics out in the sunlight. I loaded the truck, along with my lowboy, onto a long mirror and headed outside, Here are the shots. I have the mirror sitting on an old fire box about 3 feet tall, when I went to take the next shot, something was missing, The whole cab fell off the front of the truck, down 3 feet, onto a brick patio ..... .... ... Back to the building table....... Tim Edited October 31, 2008 by studioman3
mackinac359 Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Now that is the sort of thing that 1). Ruins your day, and 2). Happens to me. UG. Tim
Jim B Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Nice K100. Hope it wasn't a total loss. That's really a big bummer.
ns4ever Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 yep. happened to me too. one thing i learned a long time ago is watch what the cat is doing while you're taking shots of trucks outside!!! she looked really good though. andy-b-
studioman3 Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 Only the cab fell off, I only found one piece to be broken, the rest just popped off, all windows, wipers, grab handles, grille, headlights, air deflector, and bed, it should go back together alright, but hopefully its not scratched up, I didn't have the heart to look at that yet. Good news is, the camera seems to work fine, LOL, The colors look real good and I am able to focus where I want, unlike with my digital camer. The rear fenders are off of my Alsakan Pete, but they fit fine, so I will have to find a donor set, or try to fabricate my own. Thanks for the kind words. Tim
studioman3 Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 She is back together, no problems, no scratches, just bent ego lol, I am now off to create some rear fenders and decide on decals and add chains and maybe a headache rack and a wire deck plate and... and ... and.. well,... you get the picture.
