UPDATED PICTURES ON PAGE 2!!!!!

Alright guys, i gave up on eleanor, it was just way to frustrating for me to bother with it anymore, so i decided to start on my own funny-car

its called "the blind mans funny car" because the cowl is so big (for reasons soon to come :P aka: huge engine) that you can barely see out the front window.

tell me what you guys think, sorry for ###### pictures, better ones tomorrow, it still has alot of work

Hey Conor, I like your build.

As for a supercharger, I don't know how to build one, but....

Stradasports carries a line called Scale Productions. They make a supercharger for the S197 Mustangs. It is a roots-type that sits on top of the intake.

I don't know what it would take, but the Revell Super Stallion kit of a few years ago had a super charged 4 valve motor in it. I've never opened my box, so I can't tell you what it is like off hand. I'm in the middle of a 48 hour shift right now (fireman), but when I get off tomorrow I will look. I also have an '06 kit, so I can check for fitment. If it is ok, it is yours if you want it. I plan on making an American Iron Extreme racer out of it using a NASCAR 358, so I don't need the supercharger.

Now, if you need a centrifical type unit, like the Pro-Charger that the Cervini's Eleanor clone uses, hmm? I guess it would really depend on what you have in your parts box. You could use solder for the lines to/from the inter-cooler, modify a turbo, scratch build or modify a bracket, pully, and belt. That is at least the way I would do it with my limited knowledge (and skills!).

I hope this helps. 5.0 Mustang, Muscle Mustang magazines both have an ungodly amount of forced induction articles.

Keep up the good work!

Later,

Greg

i own a 07 sixxer S197, i also am subscribbed to both of those mustang magazines

now im thinking about doing a twin turbo set up but my first priority is to finish the body

Hey Conor, yeah, if you read those mags, then you have definetly have seen forced induction on a stang. I think that they could change the name of those mags to Mustang Forced Induction and Some Other Fords. Didn't mean to insult your mustang knowledge. Like I said though, stradasports.com, look under Scale Productions. They have one. They actually make a transkit that looks like the Cervini car. The s/c they have looks like it might be a saleen??? It is a great site, and they are good to deal with. The only thing they need to make them complete, is carry Pro-Tech.

Are you going to go with the mineral gray look? Well, anyways, if I can be of help, just let me know. I'm a so-so model builder, but pretty good with 1/1 scale fox and newer mustangs.

Later,

Greg

its alright, theres no way you could have known im a mustang nut too :(

(unless you read my other posts but why would anyone want to do that for no reason?)

ill probably just do something like a vortech or a single turbo set-up, or maybe not do anything at all like that lol

im also a fox body nut too :o

ok then! ive been working pretty slow on it but surely enough its getting there, the frame is still pretty rough but its getting there. the body and the frame is on a removable hinge so i can take the body from the frame fairly easily.

i just need some wheels, a huge engine, and some time to finish it

i only put the stock engine in there for laughs, no way in hell im keeping it in there

i made the parachute myself, its not attached yet though, just held in there by the bars
