RodBurNeR Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Well, someone said to put it away when you are getting mad at it....come back later and it won't seem so bad. It still looks crappy where my goofups are, but i am happy enough with it to stick in the case and fill some space, hope you like it. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
Jello Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Now, thats KOOL! I don't see too many '60s customs these days and you sure did do a great job! Not sure why you think it looks 'crappy' but it looks fantastic to me. ~ Jeff
sdrodder Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 what goof ups are you talking bout That thing is sweet. I love it. What is the color and were did you get the wheels. Love it.
RodBurNeR Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 thanks guys! well i guess i notice the flaws since i am the worst critic and well..i can see them better lol i am glad to be done with it, it's just a curb side i originally built for the theme in Kansas this last month...just didn't get it done in time.
sdrodder Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 awbecrazy u posted on the holy grail of model kits thread bout some of mine. U wanted pics. If u give me your email i will send them to you. I realy like this car. U kinda sound like me. If theres a flaw in something and its assembled it drives me nuts.
rickr442 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I think it looks great! Customs are really easy to overdo, especially a big long box like the Impala... It's lucky the style was changing back then to performance cars, else there woulda been a lot of butt-ugly 'Kustoms' back then! Have you thought about adding some color in the recess where the upper rear trim was removed? I always wondered how a fine grill (shaded, matching the front grills) in that area would look, might have to build one myself to try it out. Keep up the good work! Your builds are really interesting and fun!
JAFFA Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 MMMMm.... that tasted like OldschooL, my compliments to the chef!
Beamerman Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Really nice old custom... These old amt kits are a really good alternativ to the modern kits...really cool....sixties feeling...
RodBurNeR Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 i am glad you guys liked it! thanks for the nice comps!
Guest Davkin Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Only one thing missing......panel paint! Well, that and the angel hair, foil covered jack stands and mirror. David
