That engine would work but it’s huge.

I thought you might click on the link, then contact the person who created the print files and ask if it could be printed in 1/25 scale. I wasn't thinking you wanted a Zingers! style look for your pickup project. ;)

I’ve tried that on a lot of other items on there but nobody ever replies? Has me wondering if they even get the message.

Awesome!! That will work! I did send him a message asking if he’d be willing to do a 1/25 22R though. The 22RE came out in 82. The truck I’m building is an 81. Toyota changed the engine and the front end in 82 on their pickups. I could say it’s an upgrade but I’m trying to build it as close to stock as possible.

Thanks for finding that!

Just ordered one of the 22RE kits. If I don’t use it in this build, I can always use it in one of my newer Aoshima Hilux kits. Like this one.

The intake manifold is the major visual difference between the 22R and 22R-E from what I recall, and there are a few other kits with carbureted 4-cylinder engine from which you could find a close IM and air cleaner. IIRC it's 15" or so in diameter, and domed bottom so the carb is half-hidden. Now, the transmission...:D

I’m canabalising a Revell 1980 Toyota long bed. It has that air cleaner. The valve cover is a little different as well. the 22R is more rounded. I can probably do a little sanding though to accomplish that, as long as the part isn’t too thin.
