dragalley Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Starting a new build from a glue bomb chassis and parts box. Decided to go with a Donovan 417 instead of a 392 iron block or 426. Will be fun.
gasser59 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 This should be good. I've got my popcorn and am in the front row. Let the show begin.
El Caballo Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 In spite of the fact there is a mix-master right where the family jewels are, I like FEDs.
Lee Yoder Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 Subbed, looking forward to this! Later, Lee
Mooneyzs Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Tim... Its great to see another 1/16th scale build here. I am looking forward to seeing this one come together.
dragalley Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 Sorry everyone, haven’t had much workbench time lately. Welcomed a new granddaughter (that makes 3) and been traveling to see them all. Should get back next week with some updates. Have decided on duplicateing “The Royal Canadian” AA/FD with a steel 392 instead of the Donovan. Will still use the Aurora engines with some minor mods.
socal76 Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 While I am watching this build, I keep eyeing that Hess transporter in the background too! Maybe I need to dig out all of my Aurora 1/16th scale kits now and get busy with some of them.
dragalley Posted March 29, 2018 Author Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) Finally got some bench time in....cleaning up the chassis and adding some new pieces to match the original. Edited March 29, 2018 by dragalley
dragalley Posted March 4, 2019 Author Posted March 4, 2019 Got some bench time these past few weeks on the Royal Canadian Dragster. Chassis has been modified and painted metallic burgundy - started constructing a new fuel tank - chromed the rear end and seat - working on the Aurora 392 engine. Slow but making progress.
gasser59 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Its progressing very nicely Tim. I'm right here in the front row.
