Actually, I'm just trying out my new camera. I figured after 6 years, it was time to upgrade my old steam-powered digital.

The '69 Malibu I started many months ago. THANKS TO STEVE MILLBERRY FOR THE HOOD!!!

Practicing macro settings. The wheels are from,,,uh,,,,,,some fairly new kit.

B-M Nova. Had the resin hood stashed away in an AMT Nova box. Modified the rear of the hood somewhat to fit the Revell Nova.

Wheels from a Revell '32 Ford kit.

After using about 10 pounds of putty (It's cast by R&R Resin, ya know) I've got the first color coats of paint on the Ron Cash tribute car. I want to have this one done for Toledo.

If it can't take closeups up the figurines skirts you might as well return it and keep the old one!!!!! :P:D

Hey Lyle,

The Ron Cash tribute looks really good, and I'm gonna stay way away from Toledo... I seem to have the best luck with outdoor photography, but that's just me and my own fumbling skills as a photographer. See ya Saturday (maybe with a new guy!)

Hey Lyle, love them mags on the Nova!! :P Way cool how you did the body/wheels on the Ron Cash tribute car, don't know if I'll ever take a liking to any of them big wheels, but you sure made em look pretty OK! with the fender treatment :D .

Aint macro cool?! May I suggest somethin? If you can put yer new cam on manual control, look for AWB and a little symbol of a lightbulb--that's for taking pics under incadescent lights and it eliminates that orangish hue from yer pics. There should also be symbols for sunshine, clouds, flourescent lights, etc. The 'AWB' stands for Automatic White Balance, but sometimes ya gotta be more specific, specially with our builds!

Thanks. Yep, I know about AWB. That's just one of the many controls on this new one that I haven't set yet.

Lyle what tires did you use with the 32 Ford wheels?

Tires are also from the Revell '32. They are from an older issue with the sidewall trademarks and lettering.

Thanks Lyle!! I have a newer version of that kit without sidewall markings.

Hey Lyle! I stepped up to a digital SLR this past winter. To say that the learning curve is "interesting" would be an understatement. However, I will perservere and figure it out. I've got more than a few years of my life invested in old fashioned film based, SLR camera, and the digital SLR has just added more time to the learning curve! I will master it!

BTW, your '32 fendered tub AND sedan delivery are just outstanding (as usual)! If we're at a show together, keep your eye on them! LOL!
