Heres Another Project I Been Messing Around With Over The Weekend Forum Member Rollinoldskool Gave Me The Idea Of Taking A 63 Impala Hardtop And Making It Into A Droptop. The Conversion Was Easy I Used My Dremel Tool And Carefully Removed The Roof This Isnt My First Conversion I Ever Did. I'll Keep Ya'll Posted.

Heres some progress so far on the Impala i decided to build this one like it came off the showroom floor in 1963 im still deciding on going with the stock 327 ci or a 409 ci. I painted the body Rust-Oleum "Metallic" Gold Rush with Dark Gold interior.

Looks good. I have a 61 ss vert on the workbench now. Beautiful cars. Oh yea,the 61 has the 409. It fills the bay nice. So I recommend it. I went with a blue flake with all gold accents.

I read somewhere online that there were only something like 88 of those '61 Chevy verts with a 409 and 4 of those had a 4 speed. So if you build a 4 sp. convert you're building a rare version.
