Harold Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 My dog Roxy had been under the weather since last week, but now she's doing a whole lot better. Best friend I ever had- she doesn't gripe when I'm up to my elbows in a project, she's happy to have a roof over her head and a good human for a pet, and she doesn't whine about my financial state. We've been through a lot together, and last week I was afraid it was the end of the line, but she's got that sparkle back in her eyes and she's eating again. Now I can sling plastic and not feel guilty about it.
Jello Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Whew huh!? I know that feeling and had my share of good 4 leg pals over the years and happy to hear all is back to normal indeed. ~ Jeff
ubermodel Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Good news. Hope she'll be with you for a long time.
Eshaver Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I had a dog like that once, my girlfriend of the time and I found a couple of puppies with their mother. The mother looked like a full Labrador. Someone in the area said the father was a German Shepperd Any way they were all camped out in a condemned house near the old Vandevorts Diary in downtown Fort Worth. Any way, we gave away the other puppy and the mother , well she wandered off, never to be seen again. the pupppy I kept ,well I named her Texaco. I did it because she wanted to go every where I went, including wrecker calls. She had a big white star on her chest and thats what hit me, call her Texaco, the dog that wears the star and that folks is a true story. Ed Shaver
Harold Posted July 19, 2008 Author Posted July 19, 2008 Yeah, Roxy's my best bud. She's a black lab/ spaniel mix. When people ask what kind of dog she is, I say she's a Jerry Springer Spaniel. She's also a member of AARP- American Association of Retired Pooches. This pic is from 3 years ago. Well, I'm off to the Buick bash at the Cultural Center. I want some detail shots of a '62 Electra.

Brian Fishburn Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 About the time I was reading your post, my spotted girl came up, and I got to rub on her as I was reading that Roxy was doing better. Really glad to hear that she's better. Really glad. Now, I'm gonna go let the boy in and rub him, too.
