heyjohnxx
I picked up one of these Jimmy Flintstone resin bodies. They recommend the AMT 57 Ford or the Revell Ranchero kit. Any experience plus or minus?

Depends on what Jimmy based his body shell on (odds are that a Revell '57 Country Squire was used, or else he recast someone else's resin body. In real life, all '57 Ford wagons (Sedel included) were based on Ford's sedan series chassis, which is shorter overall than AMT's 57 hardtop, which was on a longer frame). Go with the Ranchero for underpinnings. Art
heyjohnxx
Thank you Art. Did anybody every do a 223 six cylinder engine? This would have been "the little woman" car and would have been either the six or the base v8.
Carmak
The Flintstone 57 Country Sedan (no wood-grain) sits very nicely on the Revell chassis.

The longer wheelbase Fairlanes and Fairlane 500s will not work on the smaller series, including wagons/Rancheros. Hope this clarifies.
