I picked up a bottle of Spaz Stix color changing paint( gold to green) at the Milwaukee toy show and I think the directions on the bottle are out of sequence.Step one says to apply a coat of their surface prep( which I would deem optional) then step two says to apply the color in 3 to 4 medium coats FOLLOWED by their black to" protect and seal the color change effects". Is their paint that different  or so thin that the black would go on OVER the color? Makes no sense to me.Other color change paints I've used have the black go on under the color.

Yes the instructions are right as Spaz-Stix paints are made for RC clear Lexan bodies and is meant to be painted on the INSIDE of the body. So far I've only used Spaz-Stix Mirror Chrome from the spray can priming my part, followed by gloss black enamel, and then LIGHT coats of Spaz-Stix Mirror Chrome and it works on both plastic and resin parts with good results.

Yeah the instructions should be in reverse order if you're painting a solid plastic body.  I've used the Spaz-Stix color changing paint and wasn't too impressed.  It sort of changes colors but not as much as you'd think, plus I didn't like the colors that much.

I didn't know that the stuff was meant for Lexan bodies. Now the directions make sense. Thanks.
