Eshaver Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 The photograph is well exposed however its fuzzy, I love the A M X that was the pinnacle of their styling . Ed Shaver
MrObsessive Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Why I'm right here, and yes that is a neat little model! Ed's right.........that was the peak of AMC's styling prowess----most of what they did after that (1970) was just plain weird (Pacer, Gremlin) or downright ugly! (Later Matadors). Although their late '50's early '60's cars were a bit dubious too. I really wish I had the '69 I owned years ago------One nice thing about AMX's is that you couldn't fake 'em. You can take a plain 'ol '67 Mustang and turn it into a Shelby, you can take a small block Corvette and make a big block car out of it. But try and take a 1968-70 Javelin and turn it into an AMX! Nothing doin'!
62SS Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 Thanks for the kind words guys. I know the pics are a little fuzzy, Im just learning with this digicam. If you look at my Dodge 330 in this section or my T-Bolt in the drag racing section, I think youll see a difference. Any photography tips would be greatly appriciated. Ed
novadose71 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 (edited) Hey Ed, A tripod helped me eliminate the fuzzy picture syndrome, it was less than $20 at Wal*Mart(even if I can hardly stand the place, at 3 A.M. it's not so bad), before I got it I would hold the camera in my hands, and prop them on something like a stack of books so I could adjust the height, which helped a lot too. The aperture setting on my camera also helped to keep the vehicle in focus from front to rear, my wife is gone with it so I couldn't tell you how it's setup at the moment. I'm still trying to dial in my lighting setup. Search some photography/camera sites and read, read, read then practice, practice, practice. Good luck Edited July 28, 2008 by novadose71
CAL Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Nice job on one of the best designed of all time muscle cars of the era. If your camera has macro use it for models, and make sure you are using the correct flash setting.
