CAL Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 You seem to be the guy to ask. What do you do for door sill plates? Anyone doing PE sill plates?
JamesW Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 I see now. any PE sills? I'm not him, but either Detail Master or Model Car Garage makes sill plates.

MrObsessive Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Chris, I don't do anything special with door sill plates other than to BMF the area. Yes, Detail Master makes the plates and they are kinda generic, but it's a little better than what I do with mine! I'm not that crazy about those plates as it can be an interference issue with the doors opening and closing. Sometimes you can make allowances for those, but then you got the addition of paint and whatnot and a problem with scraping every time you open and close the door.

Guest zebm1 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I use 0.10 sheet styrene, kind of like what Bill does.....but you have to take into account paint build up...so you have to relieve either the door part or the sill part. Make it look right when door is open but when door is closed, who cares?
