Berk765 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I'm building, or about to build a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. The body is slightly warped, how do you fix that?
CAL Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I'm building, or about to build a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. The body is slightly warped, how do you fix that? Warm/hot water and massage it back into shape.
george 53 Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Welcome Berk! What pertialar Mustang is it? If it's the AMT Mustang I may have a unwarped bodt for ya.
Berk765 Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 No it's the Revall version. I tried to build an AMT one but I didn't like that one at all. I prefer the Revall kit's alot better.

diymirage Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 welcome aboard ! sounds to me like that mustang is ready for some body work maybe roll the fenders , give it some more shoulder ? keep us posted on the build
Berk765 Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 What do mean by, roll the fenders? So far, I've painted the engine parts, radiater, dashboard, rear asle, leaf springs. I might leave the interior mostly white. And paint the body metalic blue. I'm thinking about putting alittle extra detail on the engine, maybe spark plug wires. Never done that before, besides using black sewing thread for plug wires on a 1967 Fairlane. Thankyou all.

Thankyou all. rolling the fenders is a trick people use on real cars to make larger wheels fit in the wheel wells on a scale model it gives the cars a beefier look because the rear end gets wider
