Rick Schmidt Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Got it done Finally have a new Stang with the styling cues Ford forgot when they retroed the car 67 GT grille... Yea so Ford didn't forget this cue but they put it on the wrong model 67 GT side stripes and ponies on the fenders......Ok so Ford didn't forget the ponies either but again they are on the wrong model. but I think they ruined the side stripes with the new ones, and the new rims Stock tail with a pony on the faux gas cap (instead of the GT letters ) And 67 Tips hehehe
84vanagon Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I like the changes Rick. The "Pony" grille looks good! Are there any shows in OKC or Tulsa coming up?
ericmaxman Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Nice Mustang. I like the front. Aren't those rims from the 06 Magnum? Cheers, Eric
Robert81 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Looks like a winner in my book, Rick. All the 67 GT elements really pull the over all design together.
Harry P. Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 how do you do that Harry? I do it all in Photoshop. It's just like airbrushing, only electronically...no more spilled paint or clogged airbrush tips!
Rick Schmidt Posted August 14, 2008 Author Posted August 14, 2008 Thanks guys 84 sorry I really don't know even tho I'm only 100 miles from okc and 200 I think from Tulsa I dunno what they got goin on up there If I hear anything I'll pm ya if ya like ?? Eric yes they are. They are wrapped in Maisto diecast tires for a lower profile ( posted a thread on this in tips ) They started on the Jada Stang but when I laid them down I seen the 67 rim nearby and realized the similarity Robert thanks Harry that one is great I assume its your work ?? Only thing I dislike is the Running lights in the grille Not you just don't like em on the gts period. Main reason I did my grille this way Nick I dunno how he does it lol I can barely make a nice model out a prebuilt model lol
Berk765 Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I like the color. I like it without a spoiler, and the pony emblem on the trunk lid, but I would've left the front grill like it was. Just love those big lights in the grill, reminds me of the '69 model. I did one and it didn't turn out well at all. It just sits too high!!!! I might try to do another one.
Rick Schmidt Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Thanks Berk We all have our likes and your right about it lookin like a 69 with the lights but from the minute I seen the first 05s I thought 67 so thats the direction I went with this one
outlaw035 Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 good look'n stang...excellent chose of color and the wheels look awesome on it....neal
