Billy Kingsley Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 I've got one of AMT's 86 SS-Choo Choo Customs versions ready and waiting to be started, and I am not sure of something...Should the nose be molded in, or should the lines where the seperate nose piece attaches be left? IE, was there a panel line there in 1:1? All my refrences are for pre-73 models!
Lyle Willits Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Leave the lines there, Billy. Choo Choo Customs removed the factory front facade and installed the Monte Carlo-like nosepiece. BTW, the nose piece did NOT interchange with a Monte. They looked the same but were a different size.
VW Dave Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 There's one about 5 minutes from me if you need any pics, Billy; I've been looking for a reason to stop at the guy's house, as he has an old fenderless hot rod pickup I've been dying to see up close. Email me if you need any pics.
Billy Kingsley Posted August 27, 2006 Author Posted August 27, 2006 Thanks, guys. I will probably actually begin work on this one this week!
