Tonioseven Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Hey. I normally don’t do WIPs because they waste my building time but someone asked if I was gonna do one for this project so I decided to. The kit is the reliable old AMT 1969 Chevelle SS396 1/25 scale kit. The pictures pretty much tell the story so far but I’m liable to change my mind at any given moment of the build. My boss inspired the idea so maybe if I present it to him when completed, I’ll move up on the list when it’s time to get a raise ;p . Anyway, here are the pictures and thanks for looking.
Tonioseven Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 Thanks guys. I got the stripes applied but I'm not pleased with them; they're Oldsmobile 4-4-2 stripes but they're all I had to work with. I may have to order some Keith Marks decals to get the correct effect...
ismaelg Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Looking good! Nice color. Love the wheels. Thanks,
Frank Steffens Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I love that color! My dad had a 69 Malibu wagon in that color, man I wish we still had that car!
Tonioseven Posted August 25, 2008 Author Posted August 25, 2008 Hello. I got a bit more work done today. I know it's not gonna be a keeper but I'm enjoying the build so I may as well do what feels right. . I may actually get this one finished by the end of the week.
mikelo Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Looking good so far. Its nice to get back to these simpler kits every once in a while. It gets the fun back into for me. Mike
