sdrodder Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Is it free to join and post pictures there? Or is it free to join and for every picture you post they charge you?? Could ya guys let me know please.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I have a photobucket and there has never been any charge so far and I have a lot of pix on there. I like it better than Fotki because when you view pix it doesn't take you back to the top of the page. It takes you to where you left off.
Harry P. Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Photobucket has two types of accounts, free and "Pro" The free account is exactly that, free. I've had my free Photobucket account for 4-5 years now, and I have hundreds of photos in my albums, all for no charge. The "Pro" account basically throws in a few bells and whistles (FTP access, unlimited bandwith, etc.) None of the "Pro" features are necessary for a typical user as far as I can see. The free account has served me perfectly well all these years.

Harry P. Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I just checked... I have well over 1,000 images there and it's still free!
MADmodelDOCTOR Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Does anyone know how to transfer pics from fotki to photobucket ?
Aaronw Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I've also had photobucket for 4-5 years, I think the only real advantage to the pay version is you can load larger pics, but 800x600 seems to be pretty much the standard for most model sites. Does anyone know how to transfer pics from fotki to photobucket ? Copy your pics back onto your hard drive then load them into photobucket, one at a time. No easier way I know of unfortunately, could be a long tedious process if you have lots of pics to move.

Photobucket has a bulk uploader. You just check all the pix you want and hit upload. It'll upload them all in one set.

True, you'll have to copy your images back to your hard drive, but Photobucket has a bulk upload feature. I've never used it, but apparently you can put all your pictures into a folder on your hard drive and upload the whole folderfull of pictures all at once. Edited September 6, 2008 by harrypri
