heyjohnxx Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 First model in 25+ years. A few things bothered me out of the box, namely: the ride height and tires, the wrong transmission, and the wrong trim on the body. This source was invaluable: http://www.fordification.com/index.htm http://www.fordification.com/tech/bodybuilder70.htm The suspension was raised by 1/8", a little less than the difference between stock 4x2 and 4x4.
heyjohnxx Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 Part 2. Chassis painted and tires ready to mount. They are the T12 Town&Country tires from Scenes Unlimited. They are oversize but have the nice old school look I like.
heyjohnxx Posted July 9, 2019 Author Posted July 9, 2019 Front end is way too high. Back to the knife.
mikemodeler Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 Doesn't look too bad from here, like those tires on those wheels!
LouO Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 I like it. Awesome resource (bookmarked for when I get to my Ford P/U kit).
thatz4u Posted August 17, 2019 Posted August 17, 2019 wow, a non-warped hood that fits!!! nice work on the truck, looks real
