Heres a newer build of mine that was completed last year. I started with the Mr.Norms Dodge Dart kit and did what I had to do to make it look like the LO23 lightweight Dart

thanks for the comment Randx0, very appreciated

Hey George how goes it friend, Thanks for the great comments. Im actually 39 plus shipping and handling...... ;) which puts me at 43. II, like you have been building since very young. My Dad got me started at the ripe old age of 4, the first kit he bought me was the an ol MPC Vette Gasser. As for the skills..... LOTS of trial and error....I think more error than anything else for the longest time  But I do like the antique and classic cars much more than the new ones. To me real cars were made of metal, ( not tin cans ) and crumple zones didnt exist  , and if you were jumping on the back seat and dad hit the brakes....it wasnt a padded dash you hit....it was metal....and anyone old enough to laugh at this has probably been down under the dash  I have been teaching mechanics at a senior high school for the last 9 years. We still have to get your pics up so that we can see them or even send some pics by email to me. I am convinced that you build just as good as everyone on this forum.

 GREAT JOB i love it how did you make those bumpers?

Dechromed them, marked off with a pencil where to drill, used a .030 drill bit and drilled all the pilot holes, then drilled out all the holes with a 3/32 drill bit. Then painted the bumpers and grill High Gloss enamel black, and then finished them with Allkyde chrome paint.

Hope this helps

No wipers, no heater, no power steering, what the hey - at LEAST it's gotta radio!!! :D:P

Nice rendition of the hemi Dart, Bear. Your model certainly conveys the brute force and single-minded purpose of the original monster!!!:rolleyes::lol:

 That was 1 of 2 mistakes I did with the build.....its not supposed to have the radio.....and the other one is the battery. Its supposed to be in the trunk.

But I reaaly appreciate the nice comments

Handling??? Are you kidding??? :P

Those were meant to go from Point A to Point B in a straight line as fast as possible. Accommodating a turn was not engineered into those monsters! I'm surprised they didn't delete the steering mechanism altogether to save even more weight! :P

LMAO.......pretty close to it.....the only thing left in the steering connection if I remember correctly was the tie rods, adjustment sleeves, center link with the idler arms, steering shaft and wheel. No power steering in those. :P;)
