I am currently building a Ford Tarus, NASCAR # 6 Mark Martin car. I got a little paint on the decal on the left side of the car. I tried to clean it with testers paint thinner. It messed up the decale. What should i have used instead? I'm just sick, I was almost done. what can I do to repair/cover up the damage? Any help/info would be greatly appreciated!!

Need more info, what kind of paint on car? What kind of paint on decal. Also you might be able to polish the paint off the decal. Pictures would also help.

You may be able to contact the kit manufacturer and see if they can supply you with a new decal kit. Revell will do that if you go to the web site. I ordered some replacement parts for a kit I was working on, and with in a couple of weeks I had them in my mailbox.

True blue pearl from Boyds on the car, flat black enamel from testers. Most of the paint is off, but decale is disfigured. Might try flat white to cover damage. I'll also try tester for replacements. Thanks!
