Great shine, do you use an air brush or cans? Martin

I am going to to try to use the headers from the 289 onto the 302 Boss to transplant into the 65 fastaback. Too many work/yard and kids (coach soccer)things on the go to work at this project seriously. I have 4 kits too work on and no time!!! I am itching top get the Boss 429 done as well. I did a Boss 302 last year so it needs a shelf buddy. Good luck, I sure like your paint job. I just love the grabber ford colors. 2010 mustang grabber blue looks awesome.

Has any one built the revell Porsche 911slant nose convert? Is it a good kit or a waste of time? I wouls like to do one but it has bad detail and poor fitment of parts i would rather not wast my time.

Looks great, how was the fit of the parts on this kit? I was looking at doing one sometime.

Looks great, is that a 396 engine?? the hood louver look good.

It looks even better this time. I hate painting these models, I do not know why I even build them. I just screwed up my Boss 429 body i was working on. First of all I made the mistake of painting it with Model master enamil paint which comes out of the can to thick and then it take 6 months to dry. Then soaked in spray nine and removed ###### paint. Then I spilled super glue on the one side putting the mirror on. Sanded it down again and went down too far and now I have sanded the body line off of the door. So I orded a new body from Revell and I will start over again. Did I mention how relaxing this hobby is!!!

That looks great. They were a good looking car. Are doing any engine changes or other mods?

That is very nice, you have a good touch with the paint. I did a boss 302 last year. Are you also working on a 65 fastback as seen in the box? I am working on a 65 fastback right now with the following mods: 302 boss engine Hood scoop and rear wing from 429 boss kit seats from the mach one kit, custom made roll bar custom MRC wheels Metallic black GM paint.

I went with the single carb, the kit does not have the shaker hood which is one of nicest parts of these cars.

I am currently just about to finish the 1/24 Revell 302 Boss Mustang. I used ford candy apple red, then cleared. I wired the engine and put heater hoses on it. i am going BMF the car.

I found this original Dodge invoice on the net the other day. How times have changed now we have wheel packages worth more than an original car.

That is so nice, now only if I could have a real one.

Guys I am having troubles with my painting from the spray can. I am getting excesive pebbleing or what ever you want to call it. I am them left with a very rough surface. Then I have to sand and polish it..Which is not a problem but. I have 2000 grit and polishing compound. I have done some real painting in my time so I understand the basics of painting.I am heating the paint in warm water, I am sprying from about 12 inches back, i am using light mist coat, but I seem to be doing something wrong I have always used the small duplicolor automotive touch ups from local parts store. Primer works good and I give it a good wet sand after, then the top coat, sand and polish and then clear. My 70 302 Boss, and 70 Roadrunner turned out very nice from this process. This time I used tamiya black out of the spray can and I had the pebbeling, and the paint seemed very soft after drying and when I tired to we sand it went right to primer with very little sanding effort so my 65 mustang fastback project turned out ot be a disaster and had to sand all the way down and start over again. Broke a C pillar in the process. I am adding the hood scoop wing, and mirrors from 429 boss, 302 boss engine and wheels so I want it to look good. But I am left with a mess and may buy another kit to get a fresh body. Will an airbrush make that big of a difference? What recomendations do you have for a good airbrush. Any tips would be helpfull.

Very very nice I like that vintage of ford cars.

I forgot to mention I have some original sales books with these engines. I could try scanning one into my computer if you need a copy.

All pre 1982 or so, cummins engines were tan in color, cats have always been yellow.Tranys were mostly black.
