I've got an odd request, really hoping someone can help me out.

What is the width of the rear section, behind the wheel wells? (end to end.)

Can you be more specific? Are you asking about the body shell or the chassis/floorpan unibody piece?

Here's the outside measurement of the distance between the bottom point (where the wheel arch meets the lower edge of the quarter panels), which is about 2-7/32" or 2.21875":
