Len Geisler Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Been a while since I have posted anything on my bench progress, so I took a few quick shots this am and figured I could share with you all. Being home sick really is a good thing sometimes.... First up, I shot some paint on my B/M 70 Chevelle, I am also working on masters for a set of 1/24 scale BM valve covers for this kit. Just waiting on my order from the resin guys to begin work on them.... This is the interior for my Revell Concept Camaro, I built an AMT version and decided I wanted another so I picked Revell's version. Body will be Huggar Orange with some "ghost graphics" under orange pearl clear. The orange pearl clear is a custom blend of Tamiya clear orange and some pearl I snagged of the bay.... Quick peak at my "Pink Caddy" project, just a base coat of Pactra Pink prior to the new Testors One Coat Pink... I finally started a Revell 49 Merc, not sure what I was waiting for but I finally took one from stock and began building...Got the chassis assembled entirely, and will detail paint the exhaust, shcoks and other items with some brush paint. Normally I would not do this, but I wanted to get this done reasonably quickly and plan on it being a "shelfer" anyway... Little gold on the engine, this bad boy will be called "Root Beer Float", going to be shot in Testors new Root Beer and have gold accents with a pearl white interior. Interior has been started, and so have some slight mods to the dash board... Just a quick shot of the painted chassis hanging in my "paint booth".... Last but not least, some time ago I posted some pics from the Nostalgia Drags at Englishtown, and mentioned a T-Bird I was nuts for.... So I decided to build my verision if it.....HEMI and all.... Here is where I am at so far....this is a simple mock-up, still need to detail and paint the dash board. The body is painted with Testors Artesian Turquoise Metallic, really nice color with Testors new one shot clear. This is how the body looks with only on coat of clear and no sanding or polishing, I love this stuff. As always, thanks for looking and questions, comments and critiques are alwasy welcome....
John E. Bowers Jr. Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Hey len, our rooms look amazingly similar, we must have the same decarator! Cool projects going on there.
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Really like that B/M Chevelle looks good , good color too...
