  1. And can some one please tell me why, do i have to go to IE, or Komodo Dragon, to get in here, no, this forum doesnt even work on google or chrome, anybody else?
  2. OK, here we go just about off to paint, the hood came out awsome, but of course, I did it, just one last check for any dings, and what not's then some wet, and scrub, and we're off to the race's. OH! by the way, she will be HOK Black Pearl, about 3-5 coats, then, maybe even some transparent red, just to give it a nice tint...
  3. That is just sooooo slick man...
  4. just took a real good look at this, WOW, nice clean job, and not everyones english is perfect around here, just have fun, and welcome to MCM....
  5. Only clear when all your painting is done, I clear, wet sand, clear, wet sand, just enough to dull the clear, as you all will see with '59 GOTHIKA, I will do many coats of clear, till you can almost fall into the pearl, paint, likes it's dipped in glass, it's just a layering the clear, good luck man, I wanna see pictures too,
  6. There is here somewhere, where you can go to load a program, it will do the trick for you, I just cant remember, what post it was under here, something about making your model pictures, appear more real, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..... I know there was a link posted here on MCM, just for that site, dang it!!!!!.......
  7. And you have to remember, 2 drops verses 6 drops,. you mix ratio, will also give you different results in color depth, and hue, so to ask what 2 or 3 color mix will do, is a broad question to ask, as Monty states, some one would of had to do the mixture exactly as you have asked, on the primer you are going to use.....
  8. Well here is another one, in the shop, has been for about 2 years, yes thats crushed velvet in there too, really the only thing i dont like about the kit, is the rear taillight panel, I think it should have a chrome insert, but we're gonna try and fix that, with some chroming powder, well here are some mock shots, paint is Dupli-color Cherry Red Pearl, over Dupli-Color red Primer, looks better in person, an I havent done the clear yet, or the wet sanding, plus this waiting on an engine too.... I USED THE STOCK HOOD, AND FITTED IT TO THE KUSTOM GRILL
  9. Thats killer Casey, I should of thought of that years ago, thanx man....
  10. Thanks Everyone, Keeps me motivated, to hear from all of you, this will be moved by a BBBC 572, from VCG Resins, CrazyJim your carbs will top this mean ground pounder, but once again thanks everyone.... Like always good, or bad, so long as there honest, is always welcome
  11. Nice Build, but still wanna know what its sitting on, and aint this now out in resin,?
  12. This is looking twisted, and kewl....
  13. I don't have anything picked out for this cept the engine, go figure...
  14. Manny this is waiting for one of your engines too, LOL....
  15. Yea I have been doing a lil work in this, have'nt seen one like this, so I thought i would do one, waiting on an engine right now, dunno about kolor yet, here is it just in mock up, HERE I MADE PINS INSTEAD OF HAVING THE AXLE GO THRU,
  16. OK< I just got this shifter in the other day, so I had to show it off, it actually aint a shifter at all, I couldnt see paying the High price over at JFs, so I ordered a game set online from ebay, there called Dark Heaven, Legends, Reaper, there game pieces, and there perfect scale, and I fixed the ride hight as best as I could, with out going to insane, still not where I actually pictured it, but I will add some lake pipes, and bellflowers, should fix it right up......
  17. Well I finally got shoes on her, and I am so not liking the stance one bit, might have to notch the rear frame rails, well here are some pic's, the odd part here is, the center line for the wheels in the rear, are actually closer to the top of the fender wells then the front, which by all means should sit the rear lower, hmmph....
  18. yea I kinda have to agree here with Casey on a few points, one of them being when I opend the doors, I found the drivers door was about an 1/8th " inch longer then the pass door, or i should say the scribe line for the door, ummmmmm the rear panel for the tail lights had a bubble, right at the edge, it would be noticable if I used it, but im not going to becouse of that. but I will say this, as soon as i can get glass for this Caddy, becouse he dont tell you what rood he used on it, it has been an over all joy to work with, be absolutly sure you wash your build in westlys bleach white, and a good dish soap, I use Dawn, before you primer it, i didnt scrub a spot, and guess what, went to fine sand, and bingo bob poped up said you aint sticking here, so scrub that puppy good, and let us know what you get, and how it goes for you....
  19. I never bought right from him persay, I got my caddy from model empire, fast delivery, as for craftsmanship, well it was supposed to be curbside, the hood was 5/16th " inch thick. in some places, and that was after a good fight with the dremel, the rest of the car was fine very few, if any pinholes. i have had to reshape the 59 frame to fit as thats what it was, sorta, some of his cars already have a mild chop look to them, i have a 56 ford pannel delivery from him, and it's as thick as a brick, clean up is easy, just take your time...
  20. Yeah I know, the hood on mine was 5/16" thick in some places, and that was after some dremel work, you will find also, that if you open the doors, it go's fast, and the drivers door is just a hair longer then the passenger, and the convert caddy interior tub, tabs need to be removed if you open the trunk, I dont know what there rear pannel is from, but I seem to have seen it I think on a styline kit, but dunno which one, oh and you have to cut the 59' grill just under the head lights, if you want pretty chrome, or allclad the one you have, like I said, i'm using all the 59' convert I can, then moving on to do my own tail light pannel, becouse it wasnt all that well thought out in design IMHO..
  21. All of it is coming out of the 59' Caddy convert, tho, you will have to shave off a lot of the frame to get it to fit, as the front and rear pan are to far under the car, this was or is meant to be a curbside I do believe, as the thickness of the hood was beyond imagination...
  22. Man how did I miss this? this is way to kewl, I gotta agree, the long hood was hot, but im watching this now, and you have me hooked, great work so far.....
  23. Nah bro it will be Amethyst, and Black Pearl body, with crushed Black velvet, and silver interior, with some barb wire for pipeing, an pizzazz, im also looking for scale skulls, for a hood ornament, might have to get it off the shifter, it will also be powered by a Blown 572 BBC, with some Black chrome, goodies too..... Your way out of line Keef, Lmbo, LOL
