Thanks Plumnuts, for reminding me to take some of my own advice, and put it to good use, so many people have look'd at this build but no one can say anything, thanks for being with me on this build, and to every one who voiced thier opinion's and comments, it will go to under glass next, I hope, ;) or the part's box

Just a thought, but I for one would scratch that paint job and try something else. Paint just does nothing for your work so far. Purple, green , or yellow colors the blue just not working for it.

love what you did for the body...

to be honest, I like it more primed

than with that blue color.

serious, this is one bad a$$ RIDE

AND IT NEED THAT ATTITUDE ALL THE WAY.

GO BACK AND STRIP THAT BABY BLUE OUT

and paint it flat black. likre the mad max car.

my opinion, your build, keep up the great job.

Hey! Interesting project. I tried to do one in 1968, but the putty never dried, and my skills were not too good. Fast forward to 1997. I tried it again.

Like yours, the paint gave me fits. as a matter of fact, one of the fenders had to be stripped and repainted. If I were to do it again, I would have re-painted the entire vehicle.

By the way, Wanna Drag???

Hay Ron what did you use to put the edge around the side windows, the trim I guess it's call'd? and I like the way you'rs turnd out,

See now if the people who look'd at this would of said some thing about the blue not working for this, maybe I coulda saved myself alot of work, mixing 3 shades of blue and then, oh well, till I get my set of pearls, then maybe to the dip tank this will go, I'll chok this one up to shoulda, coulda, and woulda, maybe not I found 2 spot's on the body that DOH! didnt fill in, so we will see.

Thanks for the input guy's it's what I was after all along, dont hurt my feelings none to be told it dont look right, thats why I post it as a wip, and I take all feedback in stride, good or bad, even idea's are welcome, and just becouse I dont use somebody's idea now dont mean I wont use it on future build's, so If there's something you see then go ahead say something, I'm not gonna quite building model's just becouse one or two turn people to the toilet, and hay I'll be be the first one to say something about some one else's build ask Evilone, If I see something wrong I'll say something and I should expect the same in return, and I do...

this is why I like you looking at my builds :D . your straight forward and I can believe what you say.

I was at hobbie town today (and almost every day) :D just looking around and saw styrene in half round. would be perfect for molding, :D and if the bends came out right you could chrome and glue on. thats what went through my head anyway. :D

on to the color, not a fan of the blue ,but you said you were going to spray transparent red over it giving it a purple shade,

once again in my head the light blue fade into dark with that red looks awsome. been kinda waiting for it actually to see how it turnes out. thats my input bro . ;) keep the pics comin I WANT TO SEE MORE.

I gotta say this is one awesome ride. I also am not a huge fan of the blue but everything else makes me want to go drive fast. I love what you have done so far, Ill be watchin you as is goes. keep up the good work.

When I started this project, I was going to do a replica stock 2 door wagon. I cut out the 2 pillars, and moved the rear door pillar to the front. I then added some sheet plastic to the sides. I used some 0.20 half round styrene to approximate where the side windows would be. At this point, it looked pretty good, and the car remained as a sedan delivery, and I never opened the panels up.

In my opinion, you are building for yourself, and sharing it with the rest of us, and like you said, it's not finished. You are always welcome to ask me a question, and I will give you an honest answer. I tend to use ideas from most of the modelers here, including you. I enjoy looking at your work. Maybe, I'll escape from my box and build one in your style. So many projects, so little time.

I see where I went wrong Ron, see you moved the rear door post forward, I moved the front door post back behind the door-line, I should of did it the way you did, following the rear roof-line, that I didn't see, when I cut the rear door post out, and I didn't notice it in you're picture's, until you said something. yep I got it, but not right, that's OK, I'll get it next time for sure,

I will always accept ideas, and feedback, good or bad, if I didn't want to know I wouldn't post, good or bad it all works for me, and you're right I build for me, but, you guys see this, a few time's I look at it all day, because its right in front of me, as with all my builds as I'm doing one I'm thinking of the one I was doing, and the one I left in the box, so you the people who look at this have fresh eye's, and can see what I cant, or miss.

As for the blue WELL, the carb's, valve covers, alternator, and the blower pulley drives, are all blue, and I've just about wore the chrome off the the blower, itself, so it's going to stay blue, BUT I do have an idea on how to break the blue up, yeah with a lil more blue, but with blue metallic,, and that is, I'm gonna do a lil wild graphic along the belt-line, from rear to the front and have it fade into the light blue, and to tone down the blue I'm gonna spray Transparent Red Apple over the whole thing, an hope that it will give it a purple tint, now if it works, kewl beans if not then back to the paint booth, for the Grocery Getter, OH and of course if it don't work I will post that too, then all I wanna hear is " see told you the blue didn't look good on this" hahahahahahahaha :PB).

Plumnuts never worry bro I will always be honest, about yours, and anyone Else's build, and never worry I will never belittle your build, or down talk it, I will always be respectful and try to encourage you to strive to do better, and I would expect the same in return from all of you....
