Casey429 Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 This one came in at just under four weeks, a record for me. Most of the time, big truck builds take at least a month and a half (in that amount of time, I can ususally bang out three or four cars or pickups.) Well, down to the nitty gritty. I added a strobe light to the roof, a necessary addition to a construction vehicle. I also lettered it with some homemade signs on regular paper. I also made my own mudflaps, mine didn't fit and are to thick anyway. I made them from the outer covering of an old 3 ring binder. I also made a holder for the pushbroom. I figured it did the most good staying with the truck. I painted the oil drms with random colors, with one being the obligatory Caterpillar yellow (another necessay addition to a construction vehicle, a Cat yellow something). All in all, I think it turned out pretty good. Thanks again for looking everybody!
monsterman Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 The entire built was great I enjoyed reading the entire post. I like how it all came out the "used" look I like a lot!! Great job
Turbo590 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Casey, A very nice build indeed. It was fun reading and watching your progress. You should be proud of yourself. Kurt McLucas
