Tony T Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Added the AMT '69 Barracuda rear spoiler, and a few Nash Bridges kit underhood decals, and craft wire for hoodpin wires. Body is kit plastic, and was polished with a 3-grit sanding stick. Enjoy.
Daniel Peterson Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 This is not the first polished 'Cuda I've seen, but it is definitely the nicest! Great job! The color the plastic was molded in really pops when you slap a shine on it!
MarkJ Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Polished with a sanding stick? Please explain. Looks fantastic!!
diymirage Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 classic car and one of my al time favorites looks good
62SS Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Great looking Cuda. Super clean build. Nice work. Ed
Guest 66dragfreak Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Not only are you talented at working with molded colored plastic, but you are also very talented at taking awesome pics! Great looking Fish!!!!!
conor1148 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 sorry to be a perfectionist but i think the pictures would look better with a tiny bit less flash, it looks like the lighting was unnatural. it looks much better if the lighting looks like light naturally coming from the sun on the scenery. unless that was the look you were going for of course either way im seriously loving the cuba!
Raul_Perez Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Nothing looks quite as good as a Plum Crazy Cuda!! Thanks for sharing,
Tony T Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Thanks for the comments. It was a fun build! Conor - As to the flash - I agree, natural light is much better, and in my work area there is none. I've been playing around with the flash, and a diffuser for it, with mixed results. Nothing looks as good as sunshine! I've got more experimenting to do with lighting, I suppose! Mark - I used a 3 grit sanding/polishing stick...two grits on one side, and the polishing pad to finish on the other, kind of like vinyl. Bought it at the hobby store a few years ago. Tony T Posted December 6, 2008 Author Posted December 6, 2008 Lighting isn't perfect, but I used a stationary light and no flash - That blue hue is from the flourescents over my workbench...I'll get it yet!!
