Are you making plans to attend the next NNL at Wayne New Jersey next year? I thought I heard you say or write that on the forum sometime ago!!! I guess if you do, we will hook up then!!!

GREAT! seems strange, but it usually isn't snowing at the time. what i WILL do though is update this post as it gets close with WEATHER here and stuff. :-)

I am now an Iowa transplant, & I plan on being at the meet next year too!! Good to see you trying the NNL approach with it. I've been wanting to attend a NNL, (yo Dwayne, as soon as I can convince the missus to let me make yours in St. Joe, I'll be there too! ), so this will be a great chance to. I know you came from there, but there was another guy from there and i can't remember the name? this next show i am expecting people from Illinois,California,Kansas,Colorado,North Dakota, Missouri,Montana,South Dakota, Iowa and i am sure other states but none i can confirm at this point. not sure how large it's going to be.....but it's gonna be worth the trip!

I've also always wanted to digest poisoness frogs from the Amazon. you are really hungry eh? the choice for the date is not mine, but i am hoping to convince my buddy that we should move it into "warmer" weather....but as you can see it's the 22nd annual show and it's always been in February.... just the "model show" is under my control, but not the swapmeet. it's been fairly good so far, but my goal is to make it even better. RodBurNeR Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 Hey Lyle, keep in mind I moved here, (SW Iowa, just east of Nebraska, & about an hour from Omaha), from NC!!! As I type this the temperature this morning is a balmy 1 degree, with a windchill of -17! and somehow you still manage to come to Omaha for the shows every year LOL I imagine it's warmer on the west coast...but the east coast gets worse weather than we do in Nebraska. the worst of our cold only lasts about a month....the rest is just "cool" weather and some slushy streets. It's not that bad in February, in fact according to Dave, it has not snowed once in the last 10 plus years at the time of our show. go figure... still cold though!

But I made it a two Hour drive.. seeing all Kinds of trucks and cars alongside the road some upside down..

Yeah, let it rain in the morning , all the way to Washington D C , upside down 4X4's Volvo's , Tahoes, Explorers, couple ah Jeeps , Blood , stuff all over creation................................... Ed Shaver Yeah I hear Ya Ed.. I find it funny tho.. I grew up In California Near San Francisco.. I pent a few years living In The Town of Lake Tahoe.. and the winters there they got Snow.. I mean SNOW.. Capital HIGH snow. and we drove correctly.. Not many accidents except fpor the Visitors to the area. Now I Live In St Joseph Mo. Where it gets cold and snows and Icy conditions.. I think I drive better In adverse conditions than the Ones that grew Up in that town..LOL.. I don't drive above the road /weather conditons.

The winter storms were horrible and I was at the BHSM show helping and people still came in 12 below with blizzard. It's not that bad here, for anyone wants to check and see....one of our local news channels has weather updates. http://www.ketv.com/index.html By the way, I have received a ton of emails wanting fliers and more info. To me this is a good sign, so I think it's gonna be a bigger blast than last year!
