Ohh... I said above I had more to say about the sponsor of this car.

I was born in Van Nuys, Center of the San Fernando Valley. which community is also the home of Muntz Stereos and TVs store. Where I bought my 1st car stereo. From "Madman" Muntz himself, no less. Next door is Galpin Ford, World's #1 Ford Dealer indicated in the Revell '57 Ford Gasser kits. Muntz was quite a character. Even had his own brand of cars. After I graduated from High school, I lived 1 mile from these 2 businesses. Last time I saw Muntz he was riding in his Cadillac on the 405 freeway with his wife driving with comedian Foster Brooks riding along and having an apparently quite amusing conversation. They were all quite elderly at the time, but quite lively and having lots of fun.

Richard, thanks for your input and for the history. Based on the research I did, I recognized that there were some inaccuracies with the kit, especially as you point out in the firewall area, but also decided that most of it wouldn't show too much when completed and I didn't want to get overly obsessive with this one.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. I was NOT saying that you should take your model apart and "FIX" the issue. Just pointing it out for you and others who may be wanting to build an even MORE accurate model in the future.

Absolutely no offense taken - I always welcome constructive criticism when it comes to getting it right. One of the great things about this forumĀ is the ability to connect with folks that have knowledge. One small point though - I painted the radius rods mounting points steel-colored because that's how they look in the photo of the the car I have (see my "Under Glass" post).
