Cool stuff! I really like the Deep Purple clips. Richie Blackmore didnt get the attention Jimmy Page did. Although Jimmy has the studio skills, Richie was way more talented. I play guitar too but never was able to memorize a song all the way thru. I occasionally will pick it up to play some licks but not for more than 20 minutes or so before I get bored.

thanks Steve. I'm surprised anyone on here knows of Ritchie or his contributions to music. my solos are ad libbed and never the same twice. I play what I feel at the moment.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just wanted to ask if any of you have tried building your own guitars or doing any mods? I’ve been messing with swapping pickups and tweaking action lately, and it’s given my old Strat new life. Curious if others here have done something similar or gone further with custom builds.

There's a thread around here somewhere. There are a few of us that modify and build our own guitars.

I've done a few kits, but prefer buying Ebay wrecks, and then turning them into something special.

Almost all of my guitars have been modded in some way. Usually pickups and bridge upgrades.
