Thanks Bob.  I thought this was a dead thread. Yes, the rule was 24" and mine is surely way more. I personally hate how how it is but it was my first (and only)) scratch built straight axle car and I wasn't about to tear it apart to redo it.    We can say it's in extreme launch mode at the strip.  Maybe I should put some cotton at the rear tires to simulate smoke huh.?
