GOTH KUSTOMS Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Well if you're, doing it rat style, then maybe you should do a lil rust around the rear window, I dont know, but I do know that roof look's way to clean, none the less you got one heck of nice '55 rat going...

A rat rod doesn't have to have rust on it, in fact most of them have very clean bodys. Here's a great site for a lot of examples of rat rods. http://streetrods-online.com/RAT%20RODS/rat_rods.htm Edited November 22, 2008 by Robert

It's got rust, have to look for it very carefully. Michael, The weathering looks great!! How are you going to carry the weathered theme into the roof? Later, Im not going to weather the roof, seeing some of the cars at Billetproof with show car quality paint jobs on the roof gave me some ideas. The preal white came out with blotches and the metallic silver didn't impress me, so Im still looking at other options.
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Geee! didnt mean to start a whole wild issue, over this guy's build, sorry El Destructo
Roadkill2525 Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Its back! The roof has been painted Tamiya pearl white over matt white with two coats of clear, I'll try a polish it out. The tires and wheels are steel wheels from the AMT '62 Bel Air and Goodyear G70-15 from the '70 Monte Carlo. The seats will be covered with 3M painters tape and shot with Tamiya red brown.

Must have had a real bright scale redneck, to shoot at the gas filler.
