Messing with my airbrush

Well I was messing with one of my airbrushes and did this. This is a second attempt at true Fire flames. It does have some bad spots anthe blavk streak is a scratch. Did thid all in a 2 x 2 inch square. May try it on a model tomorrow or will prctice a bit more.

Is this done with a fine point tip in your airbrush?Do you use ANY kind of template, or pattern, or is it freehand? I would like to try it, but I just don't know where to start! Or how! I (and I'm sure many others) Would REALLY appericiate it if you could post some wip pics while you experiment.Your flames look pretty good for just startin!

Yes I used my fine tip on mypaasche V airbrush. I watched these videos and decided to try.
