Looking for aftermarket decals for ‘80 Trans Am Indy Pace Car

I’m doing this old kit and the decals for the doors say “Turbo-Firebird” instead of “Turbo-Trans Am”. Does any aftermarket decal company produce the correct decals?  I haven’t been able to find any.  Thanks.

My kit has extra letters scattered on the sheet...when mixed with the complete "Firebird" lettering, there is enough there to spell "Turbo Trans-Am".  At the time MPC made that kit, Monogram had an exclusive licensing deal with SCCA (owners of the "Trans-Am" name; Pontiac paid SCCA $5 per car to use it).  MPC scattered the "Trans-Am" lettering on the decal sheet in a number of kits to work around that.

I built that kit when it came out and it was a real..... sob,.... to build.  One of the worst kits I've ever run across in 40+ years of building.  Also, the decals are basically junk.  None of the decals that go around the wheel wells, bumpers, etc...fit... or even come close to fitting. I remember using decal setting solution too and they still wouldn't settle down well and that includes the hood decal which is about as flat a surface there is in the kit.

I hope you're able to find some decent decals that work... I wish you luck.  This one is a REAL challenge.
