Clay Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) Not really working on it yet. Want to ask everyone's opinion, should it mach the frame of the truck(flat black), or the cab of the truck(huggar orange)? It looks to be an easy build, looks to be no more than 50 peices, may be wrong though. A little flash to trim off but other wise a good kit. What bugs me is that I got it off of eBay, it was still wrapped, but the bags were opened. I guess some before me opened it and resealed it. Looks like everything is there though, On to the pictures. I will be towed by this rig. After it is done of course. No I didn't pay that for it. I paid about half. Edited February 22, 2009 by Clay
62SS Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I would go with the Hugger Orange Clay. This is going to be cool. Ed
george 53 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Ed's Idea sounds good to me, Bro. I would go with it. But thats just me,caz you the one whats gotta like it.
Clay Posted November 26, 2008 Author Posted November 26, 2008 Looks like the votes are in, I guess it will be Huggar Orange to match the cab and all General Lees that go on it. I guess I better get cracking on alot of my other projects to clear off space for this on. As soon as I get my garage set up I will take pictures to show my workspace. Its getting fairly close to done. The wife may even be able to park in it.
Clay Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 This thing has so much plastic, it aint funny. I got the sides and the top painted. Sorry no pictures yet. Left my camera battery at home. Its looking pretty good though, you guys should see it... wait no you can't..... Pictures at a later date.

Clay Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 Infidel! My avatar was bothering Harry so much that he actually fixed it and pm'ed it to me.
Terror Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Looks like it may be a fun project, that flash seems easy enough.Don't shoot we're the good infidels.
george 53 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Clay, that's the AMT Car Hauler Trailer, and thats EASY to assemble compared to the one from Revell O.G. THAT bad boy's got about a 1000 peices! Try paintin THAT sucker! It's a more modern type of trailer with ALL the uprights an cross beams,an such. LOOKS GREAT, but man, it was a trip tp assemble. I recently traded a forum brother for another one, and I think this'n 'll go a might easier! At least I'm hopin so!
Clay Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 The flash was easy to remove. Well I had an accident with the ramp going to the top of the trailor. I dropped it while painting it at work, while on duty. Hooray for 3 hrs of sleep.... Anyway, it wouldnt't have as bad if I hadn't dropped it on pile of dirt I had just swept up.. So I got to get the dirt off of it and respray it.
george 53 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 "It's always somethin, if it's not this, it's that, Ya know wad I mean?" You know, if you had PICKED UP the dirt, you NEVER woulda dropped it, Don'tcha? I guess Mr. Murphy's at it again! Not ta worry tho, Caz I does belives that you can straighten things out!

RodneyBad Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 That's gonna be a great looking trailer and a lot easier than the one I recently traded to a forum brother. That one was way above my comfort Zone Alot of times the truck or trailer was leased/borrowed and the colors didn't match. If they could afford to own both, the cab and trailer would match colors. Don't worry too much about open bags when buying. I tend to sub assemble things to insure they are all there and not warped. Plus I just like to run through Ideas right away to see if it goes on the shelf or to-do pile.
Clay Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Got most of it painted, hopefully will be able to clean up the mess on the top peice. This is the mess I was talking about. This thing is long!!! I may have to place another order to Testors for some more Huggar Orange...
Clay Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 I dropped it on a pile of dirt that I should have picked up.
Raul_Perez Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Oops!! If you use a little IPA (Rubbing Alcohol) you can wash the paint off of are where the dirt is.
