Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I knew next to nothing about (gen 2) NASCAR, but building a model is always a good way to learn about the subject. ? With the really brief instructions, lack of reference pictures and knowledge, it soon turned out this will not be an accurate replica. The rollcage is made of sprue size styrene... the fender flares are a little off, the radiator support doesn't let the hood close... or I just got it wrong. Anyway, it is coming together eventually.
Captain Spaulding Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Good start to it, like how the engine turned out.
Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted April 13, 2021 Author Posted April 13, 2021 Thanks! This is where I'm at.
Dave Van Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Your work looks great. I worked on the restoration of that kit and while simple I like the kit. My only suggestion, and it may be to late, is to remove the inner front fenders. They'd not be used on most Cup cars. Here is a sample of how I did it on A mARLIN mONTE.....
Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted April 13, 2021 Author Posted April 13, 2021 Thank you. On the next one (which is the Miller Buick) I'll remember that...
