buba39 Posted December 4, 2008 Author Posted December 4, 2008 the line is on the fire wall on the left next to the tranny hump i was looking in a old build sheet and it says it is for the shifter and shifter base? but my truck dont have a shifter ir shifter base?
Aaronw Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 That kit has been re-issued a couple of different ways, the one I built (delivery truck) had an automatic. I suppose one of the versions could have been set up with a manual transmission.
mackinac359 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 The automatic shifter is mounted on a bracket that extends out from the firewall. The line is for the shifter base. All of the AMT Ford L-series kits had the Allison automatic. Tim
