Modellpularn Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 (edited) This was built in the early-mid 70's. That year in Southern California made some impressions on me. The new Datsun 240Z was one. I thought it was such a cool car. When I came back to Sweden, I had to build one. I took the (then) new Revell kit, and made some mods. A Chevy engine had to replace that sixbanger, so I raided the AMT '72 Nova kit, and used the big block engine and wheels. The headers are very thin, so shoehorning the engine into the Z wasn't any problem. Might be a different story now.... It was just a fun build. Well, here it is: Edited December 17, 2008 by Modellpularn
70elcamino Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Looks great, that has always been one of my favorite cars. Russell
James Flowers Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I did one with a V8 with blower from a flip nose 53 Ford truck and the straight axle from same kit. Painted mine yellow and still have it. I like yours. They are nice kits.
oversteer Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 If find it amazing that people keep their models so long. The only thing I have from the 70's is my birth certificate. Thanks for sharing.
