cobrafia Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 The Hagerty website just posted a story of a motorcycle built by Glenn Curtiss used in 1907 to set the outright Land Speed Record of 136.36 mph on the sands at the Florida Carnival of Speed near Daytona. https://www.hagerty.com/media/motorcycles/the-hellriders-aircraft-v-8-bike-is-much-more-than-a-racing-relic/?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_content=MED_UN_NA_EML_UN_SaturdayRoadTrip_NoDynamic&hashed_email=91f81d46e277a17f93a48a90ee5a8b319a272147464c9617316b828a286d0c40 My question: does anyone know of a kit of this motorcycle in any scale? I'm smitten and would love to build this bike for my collection, but I'm nowhere near talented enough to do all the scratch-building this would involve. Has anyone ever seen a kit of this? Thanks, Tom
afx Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 I would guess the answer is no kit exists. I could be wrong however.
Pjj Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 If anyone knows, it would be the folks at the Glenn Curtiss museum in Hammondsport, New York. Glennhcurtissmuseum.org
